Resonance Human Hair Rope, Cast Iron 10cm x 155cm £NFS Resonance is a wall to floor installation that features human hair rope, attached to cast iron. Symbolising the tension between the delicate nature of human morality and the enduring, of the rigid frameworks in which we navigate our lives. It also address the feminist perspective by highlighting the unwaged labor that predominantly falls on women, which forms the unseen backbone of our societal and moral structures. Human hair, as the fabric of human existence, is deeply intertwined with our personal and collective identities. It is a natural textile that grows with us, carrying our DNA and the essence of our being. By using human hair, I aim to emphasise its role as a living fibre that weaves together the stories and experiences of individuals, creating a tapestry of human life. This artwork seeks to create a space for dialogue about our collective moral responsibilities, the ways in which we are all connected through the invisible threads of our actions and decisions, and the essential yet unrecognised contributions of unwaged labor, particularly by women. @donnalowsonart www.donnalowson.wixsite.com/donna-lowson
